The only shooter I've ever experienced any type of headache/motion sickness looking at the screen was in the first Bioshock. Ever try riding the rides in Roller Coaster Tycoon 3 ? :D I wonder if your orientation is effected by the first person shooter movement or if it's just fast movement in a 3D world. Of course, it may also turn out that I don't love what they've become! I'd love to get past it so I could get back to first-person shooters, which I used to love. He was doing commentary and therefore aimlessly moving around in a location to finish his point, and all the strafing and turning gave me the typical reaction: my head starts to feel hot, and if I don't stop immediately, I get a bad headache and sometimes cramping. It's gotten to where I was watching a guy playing Black Mesa on YouTube and I had to shut it off. I'd rather not have digital distribution at all, if that's the price I have to pay for a better quality at retail. I only buy digital games because retail games are horribly threaten this days. You can't beat paying $40-$60, against $80-$90.īesides, I wasn't in a hurry anyway, I already played the game on console. I didn't buy MP3 SE on PC because it never got its price reduced to the amount it got reduced for the 360. If the retail box is not crap, or if there's a collector's edition available, I'd buy a game on PC. That's why on this generation of games, I prefer buying them on retail for my Xbox, and then download it on PC. I LOVE boxed games, but retail PC gaming is garbage right now (look at Alan Wake PC retail). Yeah, I'll never be buying a game this big again (perhaps, actually I don't know what I was thinking :p ). Seriously, I live in South America, anything I buy on Amazon or whatever usually takes 3 weeks to a month to arrive, add to that the shipping price plus the retail price of such game, and then compare it to the $11 steam offer and the 6 days it took me to download MP3, put on perspective it doesn't sound that bad, right?
